Microsoft Security Updates
On Tuesday, February 13, 2007, Microsoft
released several critical updates for Microsoft
Office, Windows XP and Server 2003. Because of
the critical nature of the vulnerabilities
addressed we recommend that you install the
updates at your earliest convenience. Please
visit this Microsoft website for more details:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/ms07-feb.mspx
To install any updates start Internet Explorer,
click on TOOLS, select MICROSOFT UPDATE and
perform a CUSTOM installation. (Note: The
Microsoft Update site may ask to perform a
validation of your Windows installation, no
updates can be installed until this validation
has taken place.) Once the updates have been
installed your workstation or server may need to
be restarted.
We recommend that you install Internet Explorer
7 if it appears in the list of available updates
but caution you that IE7 will take some getting
used to as its interface is significantly
different from earlier versions of Internet
Explorer. If you would rather not install IE7 at
this time simply deselect it from the list of
available updates.
As always, please
contact me if you have any questions about this
or any other computer
issue.
Previous issues of the ELM
Bulletin are
available from our website.
Please feel
free to forward these bulletins to anyone you

bulletins, or if you received this bulletin by
mistake please send me an email with "Please
remove me" in the subject line and I will take
your name off of the bulletin mailing list.
