Security Vulnerability in Microsoft Internet Explorer and Office
Microsoft has announced this week that a security flaw exists for some of its operating systems, including Windows XP (all versions prior to Service Pack 2), Windows Server 2003 as well as many of its widely used internet and office applications. This flaw allows malicious users to gain access to remote computer systems by means of specially formatted JPG image files.
A patch is available from Microsoft to resolve this flaw. You can use the Microsoft Update website to install the patch and check for any additional Microsoft products susceptible to the flaw that might be installed on your system.
