Remote Data Collection
In addition to desktop and notebook computer software ELM Computer Systems also designs software for Pocket PC (PPC) computers.
One of our primary applications for the PPC platform is a Remote Data Collection application. Field Technicians using this software are able to make and record on-site client data readings into the PPC device. Data can then be encrypted and transferred, over the Internet, to a dedicated data server at the home office. Completed and outstanding client call lists, technician on-site time and workload data are also exchanged between the data server and the PPC device; making data collection more effficient and improving billing reliability.
